Merging puts several PDFs together into one file. It is useful for job applications, reports sent to a client, and scanned pages that came from different sessions.
Step 1: Collect and name your files
Name each file with a number at the start, such as 1-cover, 2-cv, 3-certificates. This makes the order obvious when you add them.
Step 2: Merge in the right order
Open Merge PDF, add the files, and use the arrows to place each one. The list order is the page order in the result.
Step 3: Check the result
Scroll through the merged file once. Page numbers, links and form fields are kept from each original, so anything that looked right before should still work.
Common problems
- A file will not merge. It may be password protected. Unlock it in a PDF reader you trust, then try again.
- The result is too big. Merge first, then run Compress PDF on the combined file.
